A: This is only for boxes sold from today forward, so go out and get a box today!

ehh so in other words they are trying to get new players by getting one of the 4 different cosmetics? And at the same time tell your already existing player base which are clearly loyal that if they want these items they need to re-buy a game they already own????

I have heard of some companies doing some stupid gimmicks to get new players but this one is just stupid. It isnt going to get new players its just going to further piss off the already existing player base.

...and there are multiples of these mounts running around the city already. Player base cant be that pissed off people are buying it and no one I know has quit. People bitching about this are stupid. The boxes go $20(people have even said there are coupons to get it for 14.99 the price of a month sub), CREDD is $20. People who buy CREDD will buy those boxes up because you get the 30 days for every box you buy and a chance at a vanity item. This is the equivalent of buying CREDD.

Its obvious that they are liquidating physical inventory of their game.  Tbh this concerns me more than the gimmick.  It also seems strange that the week before they did this they pulled all physical copies out of Australia.  We'll see.  Right now this is a pretty big turn off to a lot of people.

The liquidation thing seems right. BestBuy.com lists it as clearance, and doesn't carry it in stores (why did I even look?). Gamestops seem to report spotty availability, which likely means they have none but inventory counts are fucked.

I'm amazed physical copies of this game still exist. I expected the New Mexico Desert Solution would've been employed by now. But if I still played, I don't think I'd be mad. IDK. It's hard to get me riled up about selling vanity items, even including RNG.

Q: Do I get guest passes with these purchases?

A: No. We no longer give out guest passes.

I don't think anyone is mad or upset, rather they're mostly just surprised by this.  Also, one person's insane fanatacism doesn't really make what they're doing any more OR less beneficial, acceptable, or just. (imo)
