PTR stuff
« on: Oct 23, 2014, 10:46 PM »
I'm guessing the patch needs some work still, unless they are planing on adding focus to engineers or warriors.

Elemental life drain is now 96 health.  They 176 version is in the research tree along with the 203 version which is a drop from GA.  The new cleave field tech is now 454 damage, and is also in the research tree.

No sign of the item level anywhere.  Item GetPowerLevel returns base level still (50 for any level 50 item regardless of quality) and GetItemPower is still the same as before.  I see no new entries in the meta table or DetailProperties.  For reasons I don't understand they also broke the ability to get runes budget values from an item that hasn't rolled rune slots yet except for trinkets and some crafted gear.  This means I can no longer display the rune slot valuations for those items.

Happiness is when you play a game so well that people call you a hacker.

There are two types of people in the world, those who can extrapolate from incomplete information.

This makes no sense.  The green quality one is far worse.

On crafting: the power core now determines the max stat allocation on an item.  Given you can no longer lower a stat below its starting value, the effective max is actually lower.
For epochos HA-C chestpiece with matching sockets only (blue stat in blue socket).  Value in () is the max stat value with failure rate below 100%.  I didn't completely optimize, you might be able to get it slightly higher.

Core     - charge - max stat  - item power
Rough    -   959  - 113 (88)  - 1904
Hybrid   -  1083  - 113 (98)  - 1904
Dual     -  1196  - 113 (108) - 1904
Refined  -  1379  - 118 (118) - 1983
Luminite -  1559  - 118 (118) - 1983

Level 50 Galactium Protoweave Legplates with a refined starshard power core have a max of 113 main stat.  Epochos shoulders 100 and 105 max.

I wasn't able to test the best power core, lumanite, as I am currently 3 eldan data fragements short.  I guess in three days I'll be able to test it.

Also of note, as of right now it won't let me add slots to a crafted piece of armor, regardless of if it already has 3 slots on it (from a dual hybrid).  Second edit: Actually it will let me add a slot, but only if the piece had 1 slot on it (pre-patch).  Since everything post patch has two already it seems like the only way to get a third is with a dual-hybrid

Final edit (probably): The refined hybrid cores also up the damage on adventus weapons.  From 1033 to 1050.

Wow good to know, thx AYn. So you still get a chance at a 3rd socket with luminite and refined?

Keep in mind, Luminite cores require Luminite.  In my salvage experiment I got 0 luminite from 220 level 50 blues, and I got 14 from 220 level 50 purples.  Those are going to be incredibly rare.

I think technologist will be able to make them.

.... Yes, and to make them you need luminite.

In the 4 crafts I did with dual hybrids - dual hybrids seem to drop way more often, I sometimes got 2 per salvage - all gave me 3 slots.  No other core game me three slots and I don't think its possible.

Updated with Lunimite.

Luminite do not change the item in any way other than max charge.  They do not increase the item level like the transition from dual -> refined so no non-primary stats are gained.  Weapons do not gain increased attack power nor does gear gain increased armor, the specials do not appear to get stronger and no additional slots were added in my trials.  The slot values do not increase since the power level does not.  So it seems using a luminite over refined is purely for non-main stat increases.

thanks for the info ayn, well we knew they were gonna kill crafted superiority in drop 3. There looks to be some good points in being able to use luminite but not on my main.
