Basically everything you need to know in my askmrrobot.

The talent build is a little flexible in some areas.  You can put 3 points into browbeater instead of survivor's scars, for example.  Or you can skip survivor's scars completely and pick up the snare.  It's all up to your preference in that area.  Personally I like having 15 seconds off my stun cooldown rather than a 2 second snare, and I like how survivor's scars double-stacks with pugnacity's healing.  You could also remove the stun cooldown points and get exploratory surgery, which reduces the cast time on the heal and grants you upper hand, which directly translates into extra damage through sucker punch.  So if you like healing yourself and getting extra damage through it, go for that.  But as I said, these things can be swapped around to suit your liking.  The spec isn't the hard part about playing scrapper spec.  The hard part is gearing properly and being able to effectively use all of your skills exactly when you need to.

You also have a bit of flexibility with set bonuses.  Particularly, the PVP 4 set bonus or the PvE 2 set bonus.  The PVP one gives you 5 extra max energy, which I've found to keep my 4-bar regen intact countless times for that extra hit that would've otherwise hindered me.  On the flipside, the PvE 2 set bonus gives a huge increase of +15% to backblast crit chance.  That directly translates into a fair amount of free extra damage.  Again, it's a matter of preference.  Do you want extra sustainable damage through more max energy, and thus more abilities without taking a break?  Or do you want extra raw damage for a potentially faster kill?  Experiment with both and keep whatever you feel suits you best.

Anyhoo, any further questions, just feel free to ask and I'll do my best to explain.

And I disappear, a ghost admidst the combat, preparing to strike.
It was your own fault; You should have paid attention and looked through the lie.
A most confused death, dead before he even knew where I struck from.
Farewell foolish thing.  Know that you have been deceived, as your soul moves on.

Interesting, hadn't considered the survivor's scars/pugnacity combo. I'd still favor the tendon blast root over it however, simply due to the root not being effected or effecting the resolve bar.

I'd also recommend taking two pieces of Tionese/Columi/Rakata, putting the BM Armoring mod in it, then the WH Enhancement/Augment. That way the BM Armoring Mod doesn't overwrite the PvE set bonus. In the end you trade 6 Endurance and 6 Cunning (over the two pieces) for %15 Backblast critical.

That's a good point, I forgot to mention that in the first post.  I'll edit accordingly.
