You bitches crazy 4-5-6 wtfpwns 1-2-3.

I can already feel my Turbo Rage building on where this thread is going.

Just because technology was shittier and the special effects weren't good doesn't mean the story and characters weren't more bad ass.  Without the original there wouldn't have been a precedent for Liam and Maul to be as bad ass as they were.  Besides the story is a fuck ton better despite one or 2 technical /script mishaps.

Also Han Solo is also Christ and there is no supporting character that lasts in all of 1-2-3 that is nearly as bad ass as he and Chewy are.

Any movie with a fucking gungan, is ok at best.  Gungans ruin the awesome that is Maul and Qui-gon over all.  The acting, Anakin and the supporting cast ruin 2 and 3 regardless of some of the cool looking affects and fight scenes.

That is all for now.

I have one problem (well more than one, but this one is basis for all other prequel problems) with episodes 1,2 & 3....

People watch them in the wrong order now... You cannnnnoot watch them 1 thru 6.... The single greatest thing about 4,5 & 6... is the character development and the plot line. The OMG you get the first time you hear "Luke, I AM your father" is DESTROYED when you experience the prequels first. Every other problem with them for me, is just added terribadness, but the spoiler is at the core.

Prediction: Now that Disney owns the rights to Star Wars they will expand their Star Wars part of Disney World even further. For one of the improv musical acts (that happens from time to time in amusement parks) there will be an act where a dressed up Jar Jar Binks who performs and dances with other Gungans a song called 'Gungan Style'. I will then consequently fly to Disney World and punish Jar Jar, Jay and Silent Bob style.

You can't get around this though, prequels or not.  its too well known as a big thing in movie history or whatever.  I watched 4, 5, and 6 for the first time when i was a kid well before the prequels came out and before anything else i already knew the i am your father deal

You're right, because its a part of pop culture. It's in Toy Story for crying out loud.

I still say it sucks.

Really, once you accept that jarjar is an ewok and skip every scene with Anikan, episodes 1 and 2 arent really all that bad.  Especially when you add the context from the "Rogue Planet" novel.  There is, however, no excuse for the horrid shit tsunami that was episode 3.

In all fairness, better actors for Anikan and Amidala, new screen writer and more of the background from rogue planet  or more clone wars conrlict and 1-3 could have been amazing.  Lucas just made poor choices

Phantom Menace had Liam Neeson guys.

And Turbo stop pretending that Jarjar was in 2 and 3.

There definitely definitely definite won't be an episode 7.
There may be a 7th film, but not Episode 7.

Lucas has said for years that he has told the stry he wanted telling in that specific time frame.

Who knows, maybe they will be a sage dated around the great the Jedi wars mentioned in kotor,  or a saga closet to the old republic era

I got a copy of the swtor encyclopedia and i gotta say a movie set in the early days (pre kotor through swtor) has amazing possibilites.  The lore and history could lead to a truly epic set of movies.  Hell, the central story of swtor could make a hell of a movie.  The rise and fall of malgus, the hero of alderaan with sateel and jace malcom, the fall of the emperor, the release of revan, even the return of the sith are all pretty epic.
