LD50 drives people to rage-unsub?

My brother in law plays (or I should say "played") impside since shortly after launch.

We've never played together because originally we rolled on different servers not to mention that he plays exclusively Imp and I play mostly Republic.

Anyway... After all the server merges he ended up on our server. And as of last week, he has cancelled his sub to the game because he's been floor wiped SO many times in warzones by people with the words "Dose Fifty" above their heads that he's so angry he doesn't even want to play anymore.

I told him to man up.. Although saying that after a Civil War that we were both in that the imps lost 600-0, was not likely the best choice of words/timing ha!!!!

I'm sure he'll calm down and start talking to me again at some point, although his loving pet name for LD50 as "Lethal Douche 50" will likely remain. Honestly I think it has a nice ring to it.

Ya know I don't actually know. He had 4 50s, none of which are pronounceable nor that I remember. I think we were only ever in two warzones together and the first one I didn't even realize it because I don't know his char names. Lol

If he was currently speaking to me, I could ask him. Personally I think he's overreacting just a touch, my recommendation to him a while ago was to stop PvPing so much and do some PvE endgame. But he's not social ingame which makes raiding difficult.

Personally I think he probably doesn't have the mindset for MMOs... In EQ and EQ2 he went as far as he could go solo and then would roll another character instead of grouping. I think that's why he liked PvP... He'd group with other players for 15min, then re queue and get a fresh group of players. No need to "socialize"....

On the flipside of that... we have a mutual friend who also plays impside. (He and my brother in law did most of their leveling together, although this friend only hass one 50... not 4) He gets equally frustrated at times with the perceived PvP Imp vs Pub imbalance that's existing right now, but views it differently. More like a challenge to get better, or just deal with it and keep fighting.... He and I get queued together in quite a few warzones on opposite sides, and he just puts a big fat target on me and does whatever he can to make me suffer! Hah... he learned the hard way that a one-on-one fight against a healer can be a very frustrating endeavor. So, the nice guy in me.... I keep giving him pointers and suggestions, and I think it's made him a better player for it.

Look at my screen shot and that is why people rage-unsub.  Winning 46 matches total to get to 61 valor was brutal.  On my sniper, I have 20 wins and he's 41 valor.  I know 41 valor isn't a lot but it sure as shit seems like a lot when you are winning 1 out of 20 matches.

The simple fact is, Imperial PVP sucks.  They have worse players, under geared players and are far less organized as a whole compared to Republic players from what I have seen.  Even when I get a group of 4 people to queue with, sometimes we still lose to republic pugs because the 4 randoms we get are so bad we just get out numbered.

This is just my opinion but I think the reason behind the Imperial fail is that there are just a lot more new players Imperial side compared to Republic.  Everytime I'm in an Imperial group there always seems to be at least 2 people sub 15k health.  When I even see 1 on Republic side I am typically surprised.

In the end, if you enjoy PVP that much and are sick of getting face rolled on Imperial side, roll a republic character.  This game levels so fast you can be 50 and pvp'ing in a week if you're dedicated enough.
